Small Business Bookkeeping
Online bookkeeping support built around your business
Our online bookkeeping services help small businesses maintain transaction records, reconcile accounts and prepare monthly financial reports. We work with your existing records and accounting software, first checking whether you need catch-up work or ongoing support. Acelerar manages the bookkeeping work and checking. You retain payment approval and business decisions, while your accountant or tax adviser provides the professional advice and final filing decisions your business needs.
What to include in your bookkeeping enquiry
- Transactions and accounts
Include your approximate monthly transactions and bank, credit card and payment-processor accounts.
- The last reconciled month
Tell us how far behind the books are, if catch-up work is needed.
- Reports and software
Name your accounting software and the reports your business or accountant needs.
What We Handle
Complete bookkeeping for your small business
Day-to-day bookkeeping
We record supplied transactions, categorize expenses using your agreed chart of accounts and organize supporting receipts. Vendor bills and customer invoices can be included in scope. We agree the update frequency and collect missing descriptions or documents into a list of questions.

Monthly financial statements & reporting
Your monthly bookkeeping service can include a profit and loss statement, balance sheet and the supporting schedules your accountant needs. We agree the reporting package and close date based on when records arrive. Unresolved items are identified so you know what still needs a decision.

Bank & credit card reconciliation
We compare the ledger with supplied bank, credit card or payment-processor records, investigate differences within scope and list items needing clarification. The reconciliation schedule reflects the number of accounts and transaction volume. Your business retains authorization of payments and adjustments.

Should you keep bookkeeping in-house or outsource it?
- In-house
Your business recruits, trains and supervises the people doing the work. Compare staff time, tools, checking and cover for absence against the workload you actually need handled.
- With Acelerar
Acelerar manages the team and checks the agreed work. Your quote reflects volume, complexity and schedule; include the time your team needs for decisions and final review when comparing options.
Why Outsource Bookkeeping
What your small business can hand over
A quote for your workload
Pricing reflects transaction volume, accounts, reporting needs and any catch-up work. We separate the initial cleanup from recurring bookkeeping so you can understand what you are paying for.
A consistent point of contact
Acelerar manages the team and communication around your books. We agree how questions are collected, who receives them and how work is checked before you receive your monthly reports.
Records for your accountant
Organized transactions, reconciliations and supporting schedules help your accountant review the year. Tax advice, filings and any specialist schedules are confirmed separately rather than assumed included.
Bookkeeping in QuickBooks and Xero
We work in your approved accounting software, including QuickBooks and Xero. Access, the chart of accounts and any existing integrations are reviewed during onboarding.
Support as the workload changes
When transaction volume grows or you add an account, we review the effect on workload, reporting and cost before expanding the service.
Confidential financial records
Acelerar is ISO 27001 and ISO 9001:2015 certified. We use NDAs and secure file transfer protocols. We agree on account access and document handling before work starts.
How It Works
How we get your books up to date and keep them that way
Review your books
We review your accounting software, account count, transaction volume and latest completed period to define the work.
Agree any catch-up
If periods are outstanding, we agree the cleanup scope and schedule separately from ongoing bookkeeping.
Maintain the records
The team records transactions and reconciles accounts at the agreed frequency, collecting questions as they arise.
Review your reports
Receive the agreed reports and unresolved items. Your business or accountant approves judgments and any changes outside the agreed coding rules.

Client experiences with accounting and reconciliation support
“I’ve been working with an account manager named Shriyam at Acelerar, as well a couple people on her team, namely Garima and Shiva. They’re all wonderful. I have nothing but great things to say about them. They picked up the projects really quickly and have been instrumental in reducing the workload on my shoulders and my team. Having their support and knowing that they’re handling projects (somewhat in the background of my day – meaning, with little supervision from me) is such a relief. I trust them with accounting and purchasing, two very time intensive and detail oriented tasks that not just anyone can do. Acelerar team has proven to be trustworthy and dedicated to our projects. We started slowly and will definitely be giving more and more work to them as they’ve come through for us on multiple occasions and continue to work hard every day. They’re an indispensable extension of our team and we certainly appreciate their efforts!”
“I have been working with Acelerar for several months now. My account rep – Vivek – is super sharp and very easy to work with. They’ve done a fantastic job with complex account reconciliations, Walmart and Rakuten listings, and various other tasks and projects. I’m with these guys for the long haul.”

Small Business Bookkeeping FAQs
How much does a bookkeeping service cost for small business?
We quote small business bookkeeping after reviewing transaction volume, accounts, reporting needs and the current state of the books. Catch-up work is priced separately from ongoing support where needed. Your quote identifies the included tasks, frequency and billing basis; there is no universal package price for every business.
How do I compare monthly bookkeeping packages?
Compare quotes for the same work: transaction recording, reconciliations, reports, answers to outstanding questions and any backlog. Also check software costs and who reviews the finished books. A lower fee is only useful if it covers the records and monthly output your business needs.
What is included in small business bookkeeping services?
The agreed package can include transaction categorization, expense and receipt records, bank and credit card reconciliation, and monthly reports. Payroll, full accounts payable or receivable management, catch-up and specialist tax schedules are discussed separately. Your quote records what is included.
Do you use QuickBooks or Xero for bookkeeping?
Yes. We work with QuickBooks and Xero and can review other systems when planning the work. We confirm the version, access permissions, current records and required workflow before starting; you do not need to change software simply to request a quote.
How is outsourced bookkeeping different from hiring an in-house bookkeeper?
An in-house employee works within your own staffing and management structure. With outsourced bookkeeping, Acelerar manages the team for an agreed workload and schedule. You still provide source records and make business decisions. Compare the cost and review time for the work you need, not an assumed full-time salary saving.
Can you handle tax preparation along with bookkeeping?
Bookkeeping prepares financial records for your accountant or tax adviser. It is not automatically a tax-return filing service. We agree the reports and supporting schedules your adviser needs; tax advice, filing responsibility and any specialist preparation must be confirmed separately.
How do I get started with your bookkeeping service?
Start with your accounting software, approximate monthly transactions, bank and credit card account count, and the last reconciled period. We review the work, agree access and provide a quote that confirms what is included before starting. Accounting and bookkeeping are excluded from the three-hour free trial.
Who will handle our books and questions?
We agree the team and point of contact for your account during onboarding. We agree how to raise questions and check completed work, so you know who to contact about your books.
What types of small businesses do you serve?
We review bookkeeping needs for service businesses, ecommerce and other small businesses against their actual records and reporting requirements. Tell us about inventory, multiple entities or specialist requirements such as trust accounting or nonprofit reporting so we can confirm fit before quoting.
How do you keep my financial data secure?
Acelerar is ISO 27001 and ISO 9001:2015 certified. We use NDAs and secure file transfer protocols. We agree on account access and document handling before work starts. We agree the permissions needed for bookkeeping; payment authorization remains with your business.
