Which data migration tool should we use?

The tool must support the exact source, target, engine version, transfer method and downtime requirement. AWS, Google Cloud and Azure offer managed migration paths, but current provider documentation and route compatibility must be checked before selection. The tool also needs logging, retry behavior and evidence that fit your acceptance plan. A recognized platform does not remove the need for mapping ownership, exception handling or business reconciliation.

Can data migration happen without downtime?

Minimal or near-zero downtime may be possible when the systems support change data capture or replication, the application can switch cleanly and the cutover has been rehearsed. Acelerar does not promise zero downtime before compatibility and readiness are confirmed.

How is migrated data validated?

Validation may include source and target record counts, required fields, key relationships, rejected records, control totals and business-owner review. The exact checks are written into the acceptance plan before the production move.

How is data migration different from data conversion?

Migration moves information between systems or environments. Conversion changes the format or structure and may be one phase within a migration. A move with replication, application dependencies or cutover planning should be treated as migration.
